Get to know me

I’ve covered Big Ten sporting events as part of the University of Wisconsin’s StudentU coverage. I’ve performed in multiple control room positions during in-house and broadcast productions, including replay operation, game and slash camera, and score bug. The greatest sports moments unfold live, being in the control room while landmark performances unfold is where the story starts, and I love being a part of sharing the narrative. I’m currently pursing new sports control room opportunities.

As a morning news producer in the Madison market, I created daily topical shows and reported on breaking news. During the 2022 midterms my team brought important and timely information on the Gubernatorial and senate races; Our coverage was awarded with a Chicago/Midwest Emmy for best daytime newscast. I am able to multitask during live broadcasts while remaining adaptable and strategic. I lead teams and my reporting with responsibility and empathy.

I was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota. I’ve always had a passion for storytelling and began working with broadcast equipment as a sophomore in high school. I started my undergrad degree at American University but finished my Bachelor of Arts in Journalism at the University of Wisconsin. I am a current master’s student at Arizona State University pursing an M.A. in sports journalism. I’m concentrating on becoming a more well-rounded storyteller and have been enjoying writing and reporting more sports articles.

More about me …

In addition to reading in my free time I like to garden and I also love to knit! I’ve mastered creating scarves and hats but have not figured out what an appropriate knitting project is now that I live in the desert. My favorite garden veggies to grow are cherry tomatoes and cucumbers. I always have a basil plant growing, and I make a mean pesto. Sometimes, I’ll make pasta from scratch to go with the pesto.
